When you can dismiss over a million protesters standing at your front door without so much as an “I feel your pain,” you’ve got problems. President Obama’s senior advisor, David Axelrod had this to say: “You know, I don’t think we ought to be distracted by that. My message to them is, they’re wrong.”
You’d better re-think that position Mr. Axelrod, if you want your guy to have a chance in 2012. You’d better re-think your position if you want to keep the Congress in 2010. David Axelrod, The President, and the Congress have greatly underestimated the anger and the resolve of the American people. You guys in Washington need to remember the outcome of the first tea party. It took awhile, but they kicked the King and his cronies out.
The truth of the matter is that people like David Axelrod do not care what the American people think. They only care about pushing through as much of their social agenda as they possibly can before they leave the scene. The health care vote will be high noon. If President Obama and the Congress decide to make their stand and push through health care reform despite the will of the people, they will wake up in November 2o10 to a whole new world where Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will be reduced to bit players.
